Our Story

Buddy Hoagies began as a small café at Nee Soon South Community Club in 2004.  Founded by a husband-and-wife team, it started with a simple goal: to make a satisfying  steakhouse experience accessible to everyday diners.

At a time when steaks in Singapore were still widely seen as an expensive treat, Buddy  Hoagies offered something different — hearty Western favourites served in a warm,  welcoming setting at prices ordinary diners could enjoy.   For more than a decade, the founders ran the restaurant themselves, serving guests  personally on the dining floor, staying close to customers, and shaping the brand through  genuine hospitality and direct feedback.   That hands-on, family-rooted foundation still defines Buddy Hoagies today. Many of the  dishes our guests have enjoyed from the very beginning — including Flame Grilled  Chicken, Charbroiled Steak, Rosti with Grilled Sausages, and Pastas — remain part of  the Buddy Hoagies experience.

While our menu has evolved with changing tastes, the values that built Buddy Hoagies  remain unchanged: quality shaped by real customer feedback, warm and homely service,  and a disciplined commitment to doing things well.
